As the TNM’s self-imposed deadline of achieving 500,000 signatures of those pledging to vote yes on a binding referendum for Texas independence by the start of the legislative session rapidly approaches, we are seeing local teams throughout the state working seriously to realize that goal.

The cities of Beaumont and Tyler both had recent events to connect with Texas voters that are indicative of the positive response our local teams are receiving – they want a vote on Texas independence.

Under beautiful sunny skies District Organizer Roger Evans, Daphne and Dan Armour, Barbara Shipper and the rest of Roger’s team collected better than 40 vote pledges at the Freedom Fest in Beaumont, in just 4 hours.

At the two-day Lone Star Gun Show in Tyler Field Director Don Teer was assisted both days by Ray Greutzner and Richard Blake. In spite of small crowds both days these volunteers collected nearly 200 vote pledges.

Richard doesn’t just wait for people to come to the booth, but frequently takes a clipboard and a stack of pledge cards and circulates among the crowds collecting signatures.

Ray is a calm and unassuming bull dog who rarely lets anyone get by the TNM booth without asking if they’d vote for independence if given the chance.

And anyone who’s ever manned a TNM booth with Don knows he’s tireless in his efforts to snag like-minded people to pledge their support for Texas independence.

Several similar events are scheduled for November so check the TNM calendar of events and help out where you can.

If nothing is close to you, contact the TNM about organizing an event in your area. It doesn’t have to be fancy—just some dedicated patriots with a stack of pledge cards.

Let's take Texas back. Click here to help make it happen!
