Texas is a nation with a distinct culture, economy and government.
Texas should always be politically, culturally, and economically independent.
The basic political building block of Texas is the individual.
The basic economic building block of Texas is the entrepreneur.
The basic cultural building block of Texas is the family.
Texans should have the ability to engage in the full enjoyment of their natural rights.
The interests of Texas supersede the interests of all other nations and states.
The power to determine Texas's political, cultural, and economic destiny should reside solely in the hands of the Texan people.
Texas's unique history serves as the foundation for our current and future greatness.

In your own words, please describe the meaning of Article 1 Section 1 of the Texas Constitution.

Section one is a declaration of sovereignty of the state and gives higher authority only to the US Constitution.

In your own words, please describe the meaning of Article 1 Section 2 of the Texas Constitution.

Texans and only Texans have the right to govern Texans. We reserve the right to abolish and reorganize our government as we see fit in coodination with the constitution of Texas.

In your own words, please describe the meaning of the 10th Amendment to the United States Constitution.

The 10th amendment both defines and confines the roles and powers of the federal government to the protection of those rights laid out in the original Bill of Rights and Constitution of the United States. It further defines the right of the states to self -govern.

Why should supporters of the Texas Nationalist Movement support your candidacy?

As a native Texan, I have not only worked to live free and vocally oppose federal over-reach, but walked the walk in office. Even as a council woman in a city of 5000 Texans I have pushed and worked to passed resolutions that called for timely and effective issuance of permits by the ACOE in the wake of Harvey as they delayed our local efforts. On the record at council meetings and those of the Brazoria County City Association I have pushed for local action instead of delaying relief while waiting for the ineffective Fed to issue permissions and permits as well as funds with strings that bind Texans to overbearing regulations and expensive fees. Additionally, I have challenged current federal and state level lawmakers to stop asking for permission, and start taking action on issues that matter to Texans whenever I found them to be failing in that area. Local Control, preferably the ballot box and with the votes of individual Texans, has always been the drum beat of my political career and I plan to continue that as I run for Texas State Senate in 2018.
