Current Occupation: Insurance & Financial Services Agent & Owner | Birthdate: 03/30/1973
Jason Huddleston, a Texas panhandle native, lives each day to serve God and the people he comes in contact with, be it through business, volunteer efforts, and most precious of all, his family. He works in the insurance and banking industry and spends his fall evenings on the football field refereeing games. He and his wife, Nicole, homeschool three of their children and lead their local homeschool group. Their oldest daughter, a Perryton High School graduate, attends West Texas A&M University, a fact that makes her WTAMU alumni parents proud. Jason serves as a leader in various civic organizations as well as having been a church board member, men’s ministry director, co-founder of the Perryton High School Theater Booster Club, and an involved parent in Ochiltree County 4-H. Within the past few years, Jason has also served on the Ochiltree County Legislative Affairs Council and has taken a more active role in contacting his legislators concerning issues he sees not being addressed for those he serves with and for.
Why are you running for office?
Ultimately it stems from a call to obedience from God. But over the past few years I have also watched my representative move away from conservative stances, and yet still proclaim he is standing as a conservative. I have watched him allow votes to pass or be killed under his watch that I don't believe his constituents were aware of, and then deny it. I am coming to believe he is working for an agenda that is in line with moderate Republicans and Democrats and yet making himself out to be a champion of West Texas standing against those in Austin who don't understand us - but not being transparent enough to show what he's truly doing. I am running because I believe I can stand strong for conservative values, West Texas needs, and truly reach out and listen to the needs of District 88's constituents.

In your own words, please describe the meaning of Article 1 Section 1 of the Texas Constitution.
We are a free state, sovereign, with power and authority given to us under the US constitution's 10th amendment. We should act in this authority in the way we govern ourselves and in the way that we live.
In your own words, please describe the meaning of Article 1 Section 2 of the Texas Constitution.
We have rights as the people of Texas to hold the government accountable. There is not a political power, leader, or institution that controls Texas - It is the people and they have full rights to make changes or abolish anything that threatens that right.
In your own words, please describe the meaning of the 10th Amendment to the United States Constitution.
The Constitution is relevant today just like it was in the past. We MUST understand that the States, especially Texas, has every right to self-govern. The 10th amendment gives us the full right to do so without the federal government trumping what WE desire as Texans.
Why should supporters of the Texas Nationalist Movement support your candidacy?
I have the same ideals and know that if things do not change we need to enact our ability to be sovereign and stand alone if pushed into that corner. When morals and values along with heavy regulations and unwanted laws and mandates get passed down from a socialistic mindset we must fight to keep our conservative values and know it is our God given right and our constitutional right to stand against the darkness of tyranny even in these United States.
